Spark Plug Broke

Do any of you guys know or have experience on taking a spark plug that broke and stuck inside the engine?? cuz when I tried to take the spark plug out it snaped off leaving only the threads in the engine...i got the rest of the spark plug out...please HELP!

I never heard of this happening. You might try a stud extractor.

Sorry I can't give you an easy solution to that one. If the plug was locked in there so tightly that the shell snapped off in the head, you're screwed. You'll have to pull the head and take it to a competent machine shop where they can remove the shell and repair the spark plug hole. I can think of a couple of ways you might remove the shell yourself, but the threads in the head are very likely to be trashed and will need repair.

I ended up using a screw extractor and socket and rachet and it came out with flying colors....and the thread on the head is still good...and I also used a little magnet to make sure I get any shavings out of the head...just wanted to let you guys know just incase it happens to you.

Why did the shell snap off in the first place?

Next time use some anti-seize on those threads so the plugs won't rust in the head. Back on my first ride I had the same problem but I ended up striping off some of the threads and the plug would never torque down like it supposed to. FYI ant-seize is common at all auto shops and is a silverish goo that you liberly wipe on the threads to prevent any corrosion.

cuz it was stuck....that was the first time I changed the spark plug on the car since I bought it used in January.
